After successfully completing a campaign at the L/10 field offshore The Netherlands for Neptune Energy, the Ensco 72 jack-up drilling rig was towed to the Able Seaton Shipyard in Hartlepool (UK).
The 200 nautical mile relocation of the jack up departing from the Neptune Energy L/10-G production platform has been co-ordinated and executed by OMC in close co-operation with it’s owners Ensco and operators Neptune Energy.
The Ensco 72 towed by Muller Dordrechts new addition to the fleet En Avant 30, OstensjØ’s Silex and the DMS Stork of DMS, arrived at the Tees Estuary in the early hours of the 12 th of March.
After a safely executed rigmove, the convoy arrived at the berth at Able Seaton Shipyard later the same morning.
The Ensco 72 is to undergo minor maintenance works at the yard in combination with preparations of the next contract.
