After successfully completing a campaign at the Walney Z-03 Substation in the Irish Sea, the Seafox 2 self-elevating accomodation and maintenance rig was towed to the Damen Verolme Shipyard in Rotterdam.
The 700 nautical mile relocation of the jack up departing from Orsted’s Walney Extension Windfarm has been co-ordinated and executed by OMC in close co-operation with it’s owners Seafox.
After passing Lands End and consequently Dover Strait, the Seafox 2 towed by the Maersk Trader and Fairplay 33 arrived at Maas Entrance in the early hours of the 4th of February.
After a safely executed rigmove, the convoy arrived at Damen Verolme Shipyard whilst Kotug – Smit provided support during positioning at the berth later the same morning.
The high-standard Seafox 2 is to undergo minor maintenance works at the yard in preparation of future contracts.
