After successfully completing a drilling campaign on the Winchelsea location on the Dogger Bank, the Maersk Resolve drilling rig was relocated to Wintershall Noordzee’s D/12-A production platform on the Dutch Continental Shelf.
The 15 nautical mile relocation of the 2009 built jack up has been co-ordinated and executed by OMC in close co-operation with it’s operators Wintershall Noordzee and drilling contractor Maersk Drilling.
The tow and final installation of the Maersk Resolve was executed with the assistance of AHTS Siem Challenger (208t BP), AHT Zeus of Finland (101t BP) and the AHT Multratug 4 (75t BP).
After a safely executed rigmove, the drilling rig was elevated to it’s operational drilling airgap at the D/12-A platform on the 16th of November.
Coverage of this rigmove was provided by Captain Erik Asnyg of the Siem Challenger.
