Ensco 101 starts operating at E/17-A platform
On behalf of EnscoRowan and operator Neptune Energy, Offshore Marine Contractors had the pleasure of assisting the rig move of Ensco 101 from Teesport to Dutch CS Block E/17-A Platform. The rig move was safely and efficiently prepared and executed under the command of OMC Tow Masters. Lead tug and anchor handling duties were carried out by the 165t AHTS BB Troll, whilst the assisting tugs Bremen Fighter and Atlantis supported the rig during departure from Teesport and final positioning at the E/17-A platform.
Following the 170 nautical mile transit from Teesport to the platform, the Ensco 101 was safely installed alongside the platform on April 25th.
After completing the preloading, the KFELS MOD V class jack up rig, jacked up to its final airgap to start with the drilling operations on behalf of Neptune Energy Netherlands B.V.
